Coffee mug...

Coffee Mug Redesigning

Sometimes modern designers make changes in the things that
at first sight do not need to be improved. But generally
afterwards many of those innovations turn out to be useful
enough. So it would probably be better if we tried, at least
from time to time, not to draw hasty conclusions.

Thus it's hardly possible that there is someone who thinks that
a coffee mug needs redesigning, yet Jinhong Lin has quite a different
opinion about it. To understand better his idea ponder for a moment
how the liquid moves from the mug into our mouth.

There is a kind of a bridge formed by our lips and the edges of the mug.
So why not make these two parts of the "bridge" fit well. Lin's mug has a
curved edge to better trace our lips while we get our coffee.

Despite the insignificance of the changes to the coffee mug design
proposed by Lin, it's not a bad idea. Who knows maybe after some
time such coffee mugs will replace usual ones.

Yuno PC - Coffee mug that gives you all the info

The lack of time is one of the most serious problems that we encounter everyday.

To solve this problem people generally try to do two or even more actions simultaneously, yet it's not an easy task. That's why at present there is a great variety of multifunctional devices. However, given gadget despite the abundance of 2in1 concepts represents an absolutely innovational device.
This novelty was designed by Jason Farsai and was called Yuno PC.

The Yuno PC is a new personal computer concept designed to help you use your time as efficient as possible without the necessity to bring your meal near your computer. Everyone has their own routine, what they read, watch, listen to, and of course drink. The Yuno PC mug incorporates all the important morning alerts such as weather, time, traffic, stocks, and etc. on its touchscreen display.

Moreover there is a possibility to choose your own images to be displayed as a screensaver. In other words it lets you enjoy the morning the way you deserve, stress free and highly efficient. In addition this gadget has quite an attractive design and is big enough to ensure clear and comfortable usage of its touch-sensitive display.

Thus this device seems to be very useful. Nevertheless I think that it will probably be a bit strange, at least in the beginning, to use this portable PC that has a cylindrical display because you will always need to rotate it. Yet its compactness and functionality can be considered as significant advantages in comparison with other devices of this kind.

Adversity...

Few years ago, a daughter complained to her father
that her life was miserable and that she didn't know
how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting
and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one
problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen.
He filled three pots with water and placed each on
a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil,
he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot
and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to
his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited,
wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned
off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed
them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.
He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup.

Turning to her, he asked. "Daughter, what do you see?"

"Potatoes, eggs, and coffee," she hastily replied.

"Look closer", he said, "and touch the potatoes."

She did and noted that they were soft.

He then asked her to take an egg and break it.
After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee.
Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.
"Father, what does this mean?" she asked.

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans
had each faced the same adversity-the boiling water.

However, each one reacted differently.

The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting,
but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its
liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water.
Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique.
After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water
and created something new.

"Which one are you," he asked his daughter.
"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?

Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

In life, things happen around us,
things happen to us, but the only thing
that truly matters is what happens within us.

Which one are you? When problems come (and they will)
how will we react?

Will they make us weak, hard hearted or will they cause us
to change into something worthwhile?

Think about it...

"Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be."

Test...

Imagine yourself with a friend in a cafe'
(coffee shop). Your friend has just ordered a
cappuccino, which you were thinking of
ordering. So what would you do now?

*a) "I'll have the same."
-
*b) "Me too."
-
*c) "Make that two."
-
*d) "I'll have an ice tea."
(Or any other completely different drink.)
-
*e) "Cappuccino."

Pick your answers instinctively, then scroll down
for what each statement means.

This is a personality test.

There are no right or wrong answers.

"I'll have the same."
You are a very easy going person.
You rarely refuse your friends when
they come to you for help.
Occasionally, it may be more wise for you
to say "NO" sometimes.
This might save you from unnecessary trouble.

"Me too."
You are an indecisive person.
And the reason for that might be
because you think more than others!
Sometimes you should just go for it, otherwise,
you might find yourself missing out on a lot of
opportunities that would eventually lead you to success.

"Make that two."
You have a strong will.
You want to be in control of others.
Although you do not show this,
you have a hidden desire to be better than
everyone who surrounds you.

"I'll have an ice tea."
(Or any other completely different drink.)
You are extremely competitive and not afraid to show it.
You will never settle for second best.
However, you should be careful of your actions,
as others may feel uncomfortable because of your
stubborn nature to win at all costs.

"Cappuccino."
Stubborn is the best word to describe you.
You will not give in to anything once your mind is set.
You live by your own rules, and damn the consequences.
But to many people, you are just a hard-headed
person with little consideration to others.
